Full disclaimer and privacy disclosure

Use RocNYJazz as a starting point.

RocNYJazz documents Rochester-area Jazz history and provides links and information for general reference, education, and entertainment planning. Historical records may be incomplete, and current information can change without notice.

Verify current information

Confirm performances, performers, schedules, tickets, prices, age restrictions, minimum purchases, accessibility, parking, addresses, directions, policies, and operating status directly with the venue or event organizer before traveling or making plans.

Historical information and contributions

The site is assembled from many historical and contemporary sources. Names, dates, venues, credits, and other details may contain omissions or errors. Corrections and additions are welcome, but submitted information may be edited, summarized, or added to the database.

Maps and locations

Venue markers and map information are provided for orientation and may be approximate. Check the venue’s official information before relying on an address or route. The website’s external-link click logger does not request or record a visitor’s GPS or device-location coordinates.

Third-party websites

Jim Lill and RocNYJazz do not control and are not responsible for third-party websites, maps, directions, listings, products, services, privacy practices, or data. A link does not imply endorsement, and following it subjects the visitor to the destination website’s own terms and privacy practices.

External-link click records

When a visitor selects a link leading to another website, RocNYJazz records the server’s Rochester-local timestamp, a random anonymous visitor identifier stored in the browser, the IP address observed by the server, browser identification, the link category and label, the exact destination address, and the RocNYJazz source page. These records help the site owner understand which outside resources are useful.

The click logger does not request or record GPS coordinates, device-location coordinates, a visitor’s name, or an email address. It does not ask the browser for location permission. An IP address can sometimes suggest an approximate region, but it is not GPS data.

Anonymous visitor identifier and storage

The identifier is randomly generated and is not based on a name, email address, IP address, or device location. It allows repeat clicks from the same browser profile to be counted without creating an account. Clearing this site’s browser storage replaces the identifier. Click records are stored in a private server log outside the public website.

Assumption of risk

You are responsible for your decisions and use of this site. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jim Lill and RocNYJazz assume no responsibility or liability for loss, injury, inconvenience, expense, or damage arising from the use of the site or any linked information.
